BCSMC: Journalism 2.0 and how it affects you

June 6, 2009

This Tuesday’s Black Country Social Media Cafe sees a return of the successful talk/discussion format inserted within the coffee and socialising. This month we have a panel of three people talking on Journalism 2.0 and how it affects you:

Dan Slee Former journalist at Wolverhampton’s Express & Star turned press and publicity officer.

Philip John Blogger for The Lichfield Blog

Linda Jones – Media agency director, journalist and blog publisher, former district news editor Express & Star.

Are you a blogger? or a citizen journalist? What can new media and old media learn from each other? How should organisations adapt to the new news environment? What opportunies does journalism 2.0 offer to those in social media?

Hopefully the panel, along with contributions from other members at the cafe will be able to get a step closer to the anwers to some of these questions.

You can let us know you are coming by signing up on the wiki ( or through Eventbrite ( Alternatively, like many attendees, feel free to just turn up on the day.

Tuesday 9th June, 2.30pm-4.30pm.

Howdy! This post couldn’t be written much better! Looking at this post reminds me of my previous roommate! He always kept talking about this. I will forward this information to him. Fairly certain he will have a very good read. I appreciate you for sharing!
